Workflows and modules
The basic working method of IQ4docs is the processing of workflows. A workflow is a process that processes individual modules in a sequence.
The order is determined by the action of connecting the modules with arrows in the workflow editor. Some modules have several outputs to guide the workflow in different directions which can arise due to certain circumstances. This can happen, for example, in the User Rights module (user rights check passed or failed).
It is also possible to connect the same output to several modules (e.g. different scan destinations) - all subsequent modules are then run through. It is also possible for a module to have several upstream modules (i.e. several modules point to one module). In this case, the workflow only continues when all preceding modules have been processed.
A workflow always starts with the Start module and ends with the End module. When the End module is reached, all associated workflow data are deleted.

To open the web administration, enter http://<hostname>/webadmin in the web browser (where hostname corresponds to the server on which IQ4docs WebAdmin was installed).

In web administration, click Workflows in the menu. The list of workflows is divided into 6 categories:
- Copy (already available by default), see Modules for copy workflows.
- Print (already available by default), see Modules for print workflows.
- Scan (already available by default), see Modules for scan workflows.
- Document processing (already available by default), see Modules for document workflows.
- Fax, see Modules for fax workflows.
- External, see Modules for external workflows.
Above the list is a search field that you can use to conveniently search for workflows across categories.
