Embedded Client installation on Epson devices
The Embedded Client is executed in the browser on Epson devices. The DeviceService and EpsonComService are responsible for the execution and display of the Embedded Client interface.
Note that a suitable device license must be available for operating the device with Embedded Client, see Licensing.

To use the Epson Open Platform, the device must first be licensed.

In order for IQ4docs to access the device as an administrator, the device password must be entered for setting up an Epson device.
The password must be the same for all devices.

To open the web administration, enter http://<hostname>/webadmin in the web browser (where hostname corresponds to the server on which IQ4docs WebAdmin was installed).

In the menu in the Web Administration, click Devices > Device Settings.

Some device manufacturers (Epson, HP and Toshiba) require use of a device password for IQ4docs to access the device. Specify the administrator password of the device in the Device Password area under Devices Administrator Password. The password must be the same for all devices used.
An installation of an Embedded Client is not necessary. Add and configure the device via the web administration, see Add devices.
